A Message from Membership and Public Relations Committee Co-chairs:
Incorporated in the State of Pennsylvania on February 1, 2010, the Chinese and American Forum on Legal Information and Law Libraries (CAFLL) strives to promote the accessibility of legal information and to foster the education of legal information professionals in China and the United States. Ever since the first CAFLL conference held in Beijing in May 2009, legal information professionals of the two countries have participated in a biannual conference held alternately in China and the United States. It was held in 2011 in Philadelphia and in 2013 in Shanghai. The conference has provided participants – comprised of law librarians, law faculty, and legal information providers of the two countries – opportunities for professional exchange, networking and collaboration. In 2013, standing committees were formed within CAFLL to set up procedures and mechanisms for resource sharing and international exchanges.
Do not miss this opportunity to take part in this unique forum of exchange and collaboration among legal information professionals of China and the United States. In addition, corporate/institutional members receive such benefits as national recognition on the CAFLL website and in marketing materials; a discounted conference registration fee; and the opportunity to contribute to the development or expansion of CAFLL programs. More information about CAFLL membership is available on our website. To learn more about the Forum and the current state of law librarianship in China, please read the recent AALL Spectrum article “Law Librarianship in China: Challenges and Opportunities”.
